About Our Pastor

Fr. Christopher J Ford was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Bridgeport on June 1, 2019.

A native of Naugatuck, CT, Fr. Ford is the youngest of 4 siblings. He attended St. Francis of Assisi School and Naugatuck High School before graduating from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven in 2011 with a degree in Political Science. While completing his degree, Fr. Ford worked professionally on campaigns for the United States Senate, Governor of Connecticut, and Connecticut State Legislature. After graduation. Fr. Ford then worked in the Department of Residence Life at Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA, while obtaining a Master of Education degree in Evaluation & Measurement from Kent State University (OH) in May 2013. He entered St. John Fisher Seminary in August 2013 and earned his M.Div./S.T.B. degree from St. Joseph's Seminary (Dunwoodie) in Yonkers, N.Y. before his ordination in 2019. 

Upon his ordination to the priesthood, Fr. Ford began his priestly ministry at St. Gregory the Great Parish in Danbury, CT. In 2020, he was named Diocesan Director of Vocations and in 2021, he left St. Gregory the Great parish to serve as the Diocese of Bridgeport’s inaugural Director of Campus Ministry, as well as Chaplain to the Office of the Superintendent of Schools. In July 2023, Fr. Ford was named Director of Seminarians. In May 2024, Fr. Ford departed his role in Campus Ministry to become Pastor at Notre Dame of Easton Parish and in 2025, was succeeded as Director of Vocations by Fr. Ferry Galbert. 

In 2025, Fr. Ford completed his Ph.D. in Administration & Supervision from the Graduate School of Education at Fordham University, successfully defending his dissertation, Credible Witnesses: How Teachers Across Generations Perceive and Embody Catholic Identity in Catholic Schools. Outside of formal ministry, Fr. Ford has served as the Grand (national) Chaplain for the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks since 2023 Fr. Ford presently serves concurrently as Pastor of Notre Dame of Easton Parish, Diocesan Director of Seminarians, and Chaplain to the Office of the Superintendent of Schools..
